Almost Sushi

For days I anxiously checked my amazon order updates looking To see if my sushi making kit had shipped as of yet .....

Words cannot begin to express the joy I felt the moment my eyes came across a five star rated sushi making kit for under $20 on Amazon! I couldn’t presss order quickly enough and could barely contain myself from telling all of my friends what I have just ordered and how I cannot wait to create sushi for them.

So they day finally came - my sushi kit arrived & I couldn’t wait to run to the grocery store to purchase seaweed paper & fresh tuna and cucumber. Upon my return home from the store I rushed to set up my oriental teapot and place mats to set the oriental mood.

I’m so over the top I even played an oriental playlist on my Spotify to ensure that I truly felt like a samurai ready to slice my sushi.

I wish I could end this saying that I made the best sushi ever but I actually failed miserably and failed to cut my seaweed paper and separate my rolls into actual rolls- instead I made what looked like a GIGANTIC sushi burrito ....a wave of total failure washed over me.

That was it - it’s over .... no sushi photos for my social media- nothing to blast my friends with jealousy & desire over .... just a big rice roll staring at me.

But then I remembered how one time I messed up a crunch wrap attempt and made the best burrito ever so why not just do the same oriental style and make a SUSHI BURRITO?!

I googled them- they exist and here is mine 😂😂😂😂
