After recovering from the stomach flu and having a week of what felt like absolute & utter death- I finally found myself having an appetite again but still not enough energy to cook.
Now you know hungry & tired usually = take out but this time I was desperate to get out of my home and out into the world. To also paint the proper picture- it was a beautiful day outside. Hot as ever but there was a slight breeze, so I figured the closer I went to the water- the even better the breeze.
Luckily my lunch date felt the same and drove us to Pompano Beach. We first were going to go to Oceanic (another great, but more upscale restaurant) but I didnt do my hair and was wearing something super relaxed so I said no thank you in a few words. That led my date to then suggest "Beach House" - a place I had never been but wanted to go the moment I heard the name because who doesnt like beach houses?! Only crazy people.
Upon entering beach house, I immediately fell in love with the decor & the hostess guided us to the upstairs outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful beach.
I just had to be basic and order their coconut mojito (which i quickly returned for being too sweet- do not recommend lol) and oysters as my appetizer because well...I never get tired of fresh oysters with all the fixings.

For my actual entree I went for their "Cilantro Key Lime Chicken" which was listed as a half chicken topped with cilantro key-lime sauce, served with french fries. Sounds so simple right?! Wrong- this dish had so many levels of flavor and the chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. My mouth is watering as I type this just remembering it. I swear these photos do not do it justice and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO AND TRY IT for any lunch day - freaking delicious. Just look at it......

Oh and I almost forgot- I added a side of chilled kale salad- also delectable. Yum & Done.
